Welcome to the Brown Book web page.

Hereby we present the electronic version of the most comprehensive set of data about racist and xenophobic incidents, and crimes committed by neo-fascist and far right in Poland. “NEVER AGAIN" Associations monitors hate crimes continuously for nearly twenty years.

Descriptions of the incidents come mainly from the “NEVER AGAIN" Association's network of correspondents. In addition, during the creation of the Brown Book we have used information received from minority organizations - partners of the “NEVER AGAIN" Association - as well as those contained in newspapers, radio and television, books about discrimination and prejudices, Internet portals, and reports of national and international NGOs .

The Brown Book is not of a scientific or legal character, and should not be considered as that. This document has been created using journalistic methods.

The Brown Book is also published in subsequent issues of the "NEVER AGAIN" magazine. The effects of profound monitoring of racism, neo-fascism and xenophobia at Polish sports arenas shows up in the magazine of anti-racist fans called “Stadion". In 2009 the “Brown Book 1987-2009" was published. In April 2011 “NEVER AGAIN" Association printed a subsequent Brown Book concerning effects of the monitoring in 2009-2011.

This database was created to help all interested parties access the information, and hence to fight more efficiently against racism, neo-fascism and xenophobia.

So far, the Internet database includes incidents from the 2010 and will be gradually supplemented.

The database was created with support from the Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future".
